Geographic Region: The Nature Conservancy works in all 50 states and around the world in 72 countries to conserve the lands and waters on which all life depends.
For over 50 years, the Virginia chapter of The Nature Conservancy has worked to conserve the Commonwealth’s forests, rivers and bays, ocean and coasts for the benefit of both people and nature, from the Clinch Valley to the Allegheny Highlands; across the Piedmont to the pine savannas of the Tidewater; throughout the Chesapeake Bay and beyond into the Atlantic Ocean.
