They are being added to the String of Pearls in the Chesapeake Bay watershed, 62 pearls and their landowners that have been honored to date. The seven newest pearls are in Great Falls, McLean, and Oakton, and are the first conserved lands to be honored in Virginia.
Beautiful Plein Air paintings of the pearls by artists from the Washington society of Landscape Painters will be on display and available for purchase.
