Agrarian Commons: Toward Equity, Farm Viability, and Community Ownership

The Agrarian Trust is a national land trust working to ensure tomorrow’s farmers have affordable access to farmland. AT is forming Agrarian Commons across the country that are controlled by local stakeholders.  They manage farmland by offering equitable long-term leases to farmers that have been historically excluded from land access. Session will cover Commons structure and how local land trusts can partner to increase farmland accessibility, racial equity and ecological stewardship on conserved lands.
