Jen Perkins
Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, Coordinator, Office of Farmland Preservation, Jen has been with the Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services since 2018. She manages the Office of Farmland Preservation, which focuses on the preservation of working farmland across the Commonwealth, and oversees the Governor’s Agriculture and Forestry Industries Development (AFID) Fund grant, helping localities support agriculture and forestry-related economic development. Prior to this role, she worked for the James River Association, the Virginia Outdoors Foundation, and the Piedmont Environmental Council. Jen has a B.A. in Government from Sweet Briar College, a Master of Public Policy from Duke University, and a Master of Laws from Trinity College Dublin (Ireland). She was a fellow in the 2019-2020 cohort of the Virginia Natural Resources Leadership Institute. Jen, a native of Middleburg, Virginia, now resides in Northside Richmond.
